large cleared area such as playground, gymnasium, or center of room

pictures of large and small animals

recordings of music that suggest large or small animals and

fast or slow movement, such as "Carnival of the Animals," "Peer Gynt Suite," "On the Trail" from the

"Grand Canyon Suite," portions of the "Nutcracker Suite," "Peter and the Wolf," and so on

Instructions

1. Place leaves flat on a table.
2. Cover each leaf with a thin piece of foil.
3. Encourage children to rub an eraser back and forth gently on the foil
until it makes an imprint of the leaf.
4. To display, glue each foil leaf print on a piece of construction paper, and
glue the leaf next to it.
