Materials
- Small rocks or pebbles
- Gold spray paint
- Sifters
- Sandbox
What to Do
Away from the children, spray-paint rocks and pebbles gold to make “nuggets.” Hide the gold pebbles in the sandbox. Provide the children with sifters, and encourage them to use the sifters to hunt for “gold” in the sand. For even more fun, let the children take turns hiding and finding them.
