When children get to reflect on their own interests and strengths, they realize how special they really are. It is important to assure children that although they may not be able to do everything that their brothers, sisters, or peers can do, they are unique individuals with special abilities they can share. When we take the time to focus on the positive things a child can do, there is less time to focus on the negative, which makes our world a much happier place.
