Instructions

* Trace around the large numbers or number stencils. Make one number for
each child.
* Cut pieces of yarn.
What to Do
1. Give each child pieces of yarn, glue, and a
sheet of paper with
one large block
number on it.
2. Ask the children to
glue the yarn pieces
on top of the
numbers, taking care
to follow the shapes
of the numbers.
Assessment
To assess the children's learning, consider the following:
* Use pieces of yarn to make a number on the floor. Can the children call out
the number you made? Continue doing this until you review all of the
numbers that you are currently studying.
* Can the children create numbers on the floor using items from the classroom?
