Newspaper Worms

Sheet of black paper Tape

Instructions

1. Put the smaller jar inside the larger one.

2. Put the soil between the two jars. The smaller jar will prevent the worms from going into the center of the jar where you can't see them.

3. Gather worms from outside or buy them from a bait shop. Put the worms and the soil on a piece of newspaper on the floor. Observe the worms and discuss.

4. Put the worms in the worm house and put the black paper around the jar. After a while, remove the paper and observe how the worms are building tunnels. Keep the jar covered when no one is observing.

5. Be sure to return the worms to where you found them.
