Materials

3-dimensional tissue paper snowflakes, 12 large (12") and 12 small (6")nylon fishing line cut into various lengths (12" to 24")scissorsornament hangers or opened paperclips

Instructions

1. This is a nice winter activity to do in your classroom. The snowflakes can stay up from December through February.

2. Attach fishing line to one end of each snowflake. Attach an ornament hanger or paperclip to the other end of the fishing line.

3. Hang the snowflakes from the classroom ceiling randomly.

4. When the children come in, help them count the snowflakes. Challenge older children to count the snowflakes by themselves. "How many large snowflakes do you see?" "How many small snowflakes do you see?"
