Materials

large piece of poster board

marker

yellow, red, and green apple cutouts

laminator (optional)

yellow, red, and green apples

knife

Instructions

1. Divide the poster board into three sections horizontally.
2. Glue a cutout of each color of apple at the bottom of each column. Laminate,
if possible.
3. Discuss with the children the similarities and differences between the types of
apples.
4. Slice the apples, and give one slice of each type of apple to every child.
5. Have the children taste the slices, pick their favorite type of apple, and attach
the cutout of that type of apple in the appropriate column on the poster
board.
6. Once all the children have voted for their favorite type of apple, look at the
results on the chart, discussing with the children which apple type was most
and least popular.
