Instructions

1. Children love pop-up or lift-the-flap books, but many are so delicate that you
don't want to put them out to be torn. Children love to hear them read over
and over and often give their immediate, undivided attention whenever you
pull one out.
2. Keep pop-up, lift-the-flap, and turn-the-wheel books on a special shelf near a
spot where children may need to wait once in a while (perhaps where they
line up). Whenever there is a lull between activities, grab a quick pop-up
book to make the most of the moment.
3. There are many pop-up books that feature the alphabet, counting, colors and
other themes that you can change to fit your themes through the year.
More to do Books: Help the children make their own pop-up books to keep, or make a
class pop-up book to keep on the special shelf.
