Instructions

1. When you are in between activities, and are busy helping one group, another
group can listen to a book with a "story leader."
2. Give one child a picture book with the cassette that tells the story and has
turn-the-page signals.
3. The child (the story leader) holds up the book and the children listen to the
cassette as he turns the pages.
4. Place the book and cassette in a large zipper-closure baggie for children to
use themselves at free choice time.
Note: Make your own cassettes by recording yourself reading a book.
