What to do

1. Recite the following rhyme with the children:

What's the weather?
What's the weather?
What's the weather like today?
Tell us, ______________ (say a child's name)
What's the weather like today?
Is it sunny?
Is it cloudy?
Is it sun and clouds today?
Is it rainy?
Is it snowy?
Is it windy out today?

2. After reciting the rhyme, pick a child (or ask the leader of the day or "weather watcher" helper) to look outside and tell the class what the weather is like outside.
