Materials

cotton balls

several cups

variety of floral scents (potpourri oils work well)

two pictures of each floral scent

masking tape

pen

piece of poster board

glue

Instructions

1. Fill the pie pan with two inches of water.
2. Let the children shake pepper into the water.
3. Ask the children to dip a bar of soap into the pepper water and watch
what happens. The pepper moves away from the soap. Ask the children
why they think this happens.
