Materials

bagless vacuum cleaner (vacuum cleaner with an empty bag can also be used)

newsprint

magnifying glasses

tweezers

several sheets of white construction paper

markers

large clear book tape

stapler or hole punch and yarn

Instructions

1. Make the following two games using seed packets and catalogs.
Lotto/Bingo
1. Cut poster board into 9" x 9" squares.
2. Draw a grid with three rows across and three columns down. Cut out
enough 3" x 3" squares to
cover the boards.
3. Cut out matching pairs of
pictures of vegetables, fruits,
flowers, and other plants
from seed catalogs.
4. Glue one picture on each
3" x 3" square. Laminate all
and cut out.
5. Use the boards to play Lotto
and Bingo the usual way.
Memory/Old Maid Game
1. Cut poster board into an odd number of 2" x 3" cards.
2. Cut out matching pairs of pictures (same as Lotto above).
3. Glue the pictures onto the cards with rubber cement.
4. Cut out a picture of a garden and glue it to the last, odd card. Laminate
the cards and cut out.
5. Use the cards to play a memory game (without the garden card) or Old
Maid, using the garden card as the "old maid card."
