Instructions

1. Turn the cardboard box upside down. Cover it with white paper and
decorate it to look like a bank. Cut a two-inch slit in the bottom of the box
(adult only), big enough for the coins to slip through easily.
2. One child puts any number of pennies in the "bank" while the other children
count how many the child put in. After everyone has predicted how many
pennies are in the bank, lift the bank and count to see who has the right
number.
3. Repeat so that each child gets at least one turn.
4. If the children are familiar with nickels, dimes, and quarters, use them as well.
