Instructions

What to do
1. In a group, talk with the children about why we keep some foods cold. Ask if anyone knows
why some foods must even be kept in the freezer.
2. Have children fold a large sheet of white construction paper in half so that it opens like a card.
3. Draw a line across the front half about one-third of the way down. Have children cut the line.
The top third represents the freezer, the bottom third, the refrigerator.
4. Cut handles out of black paper and have children glue them on.
5. Have children cut appropriate foods out of magazines to glue into the refrigerators and freezers.
