Plastic or real animal foods such as an acorn, carrot, hay, dog bone, birdseed, log chewed by a beaver, beehive, small snail shell, rubber worm

Instructions

1. Lay the pictures of the animals on the table and place the food items on the table also.

2. Children work at matching the food and the pictures.More to doGames: Make a file folder game using the same principle, only this time using pictures of animals and the places that they usually sleep or live. * On a large piece of cardboard, trace or draw the continents, color them in different colors and write the names of each on them. Then provide small pictures of animals for the children and talk about where the animals originally come from. Write the name of the continent on the back of each so the children can check their work. This activity is a wonderful way to introduce the children to the geography of the world, especially if you are planning a trip to the zoo, where continent maps are usually posted for each animal.
