Instructions

1. Help the children make their own Sweet Dreams book that includes things
they would love to dream about.
2. Tell them they can paint or use markers to draw pictures or glue magazine
pictures onto white felt or cloth pages. Let them decide how many pages to
put in their books. They may have a lot of things to dream about or just a few!
3. When their pictures are complete, help them punch three holes in each
piece of cloth using a hole punch. Bind the pages together using pipe
cleaners or twist ties.
Safety Note: Be careful of the sharp ends of the pipe cleaners and twist ties.
4. The children will have a keepsake that they can bring to nap time. The book
will help them relax and soothe them for sleep.
More to do Home-to-School Connection: This can be a great parent/child home project.
Send materials home so the child can make a Sweet Dreams book at home
with the support of her family. Family photos, which are familiar to the child
and add extra comfort, can be part of a Sweet Dreams book.
