Instructions
1. Divide the children into small groups of two or three and explain that they
are going on a detective hunt.
2. Give each "detective" a piece of masking tape about 5" in length.
3. Ask them to collect "evidence" by going around the classroom and pressing
their masking tape to flooring, tables, toys, clothing...anything!
4. After they have collected their evidence, encourage them to use magnifying
glasses to investigate what stuck to their piece of masking tape.
More to do Games: Have the children form a circle. Select one child to stand in the center
of the circle. Ask the other children to look closely at the child standing in the
center. Choose one child ("detective") to turn around and close his eyes while
you change some detail on the child in the center (for example, untie a shoe,
place a sticker on the child's shirt, or push up one pant leg). Ask the detective
child to turn around and figure out what is different on the child in the center.
