Materials

One package of cream cheese at room temperature, or peanut butter

Paper saucers

Plastic knives, forks and spoons

Assortment of washed fresh vegetables that are colorful and interesting, for example, radishes, celery and carrot sticks, parsley, green beans, eggplant slices, sliced turnip, broccoli, spinach, cauliflower

Instructions

1. Ask the children to spread the cream cheese or peanut butter generously over the saucer.

2. Arrange vegetables in interesting designs on the saucers.

3. Encourage the children to describe their designs with the class, naming vegetable colors, shapes, etc.

4.
