Growing Vegetable Soup by Lois Ehlert
Large can of chicken broth
Can opener
Crock-pot
Assorted fresh vegetables (such as carrots, celery, green beans, peas, zucchini)
Vegetable peeler
Small paring knife and cutting board
Ladle
Small pasta
Small bowls and spoons
Instructions
1. Pick a number for the day, such as "three." Try and incorporate that number in all
the day's activities. Following are some examples:
* Set three places at each table.
* Move in groups of three.
* Serve three crackers for snack.
* Give the children three crayons to draw a picture.
* Take three steps forward and three steps backward.
* Do matching in sets of three.
* Sort in three's.
