Instructions

* Valentine's Day is February 14th.
1. Prepare a spinner board by dividing an 8 1/2 " x 8 1/2 "
square of tagboard into six pie
sections.
2. Draw a heart in each pie section,
each with a different design (stripes,
dots, zigzag lines, checkerboard
pattern, and so on).
3. Make two hearts of each heart design to make
game pieces for two players.
4. Laminate the board and game pieces and cut out.
5. Use a metal brad and a paper clip to assemble the
spinner or purchase a spinner at a teacher supply store.
6. Put the game in a center and encourage the children to visit the
center in pairs.
7. To play the game, each child spins the spinner. The child can take the
heart that matches the one on which the spinner lands. If he already has
that heart, he skips a turn.
8. The partners alternate turns until one player accumulates all six hearts.
