Materials

8" to 10" playground ball

Instructions

1. Make your own rhyming wheel game to keep children busy during transition
and waiting times.
2. Cut a piece of card stock or poster board into an 8 1/2 " x 5" rectangle. Cut out
a 1" x 1" square from the middle of each 5" side to make "windows" (see
illustration).
3. Cut out two 5" circles to make the wheels.
4. Glue one of each rhyming pair on each wheel. Make sure the pictures go in
the same direction so that they don't appear upside down in the windows
when you turn the wheels.
5. Use brad fasteners to attach the wheels to the back of the main piece so that
one picture of each wheel shows through the window as the wheel is
turned.
6. The child turns the left and right wheels to match rhyming pictures.
