Materials

Large green paper triangles

tempera paint or fingerpaint

paintbrushes

scissors

markers

Instructions

1. Give each child a large green triangle.
2. Help each child paint one hand and then make a handprint on his triangle.
3. When the handprints are dry, ask the children to snip the base edge of the
triangle using scissors.
4. Using one finger or the side of a marker, the child rolls the snipped area to
give the tree a three-dimensional look.
5. Mount the triangles in a large triangle formation to make a tree.
