Materials

  • butcher paper
  • marker
  • scissors
  • magazines and newspapers with pictures of planes, cars, trains, boats, bikes,
  • trucks, and so on
  • glue

 

What to do

1. Draw a column chart and label with a variety of transportation vehicles (use words and pictures).

2. Have children cut out pictures of transportation vehicles.

3. Ask them to glue the pictures in the appropriate column.

4. With the children, count the number of items in each column.
