What to do
1. This is a great fine motor activity. Give each child a sheet, or half a sheet, of white paper. Invite
the children to tear it into pieces.
2. Encourage the children to glue the torn paper onto the colored construction paper in the
shape of a snowman.
3. Children can add embellishments, such as a hat, arms, face, etc., with the markers.
More to do
Outdoors: Walk in the snow and make tracks. See if the children can match tracks to the correct
shoes.
Sand and water table: Play with snow or ice in the water table. Add shovel and buckets.
