Materials

Construction paper, in pastel colors

Pencils

Scissors

Liquid starch

Plastic containers

Colored tissue paper, torn into small pieces

Paintbrushes

Instructions

What to do
1. Have each child draw a large egg shape on the construction paper and cut it out.
2. Pour liquid starch in plastic containers.
3. Have the children lay a piece of tissue paper flat on the egg and paint over it with liquid starch.
4. Encourage them to repeat this process, overlapping the pieces of tissue paper until the egg is
covered.
5. Allow the eggs to dry overnight. They will make an attractive bulletin board display.
