Instructions

1. Cut out blue paper ribbons for each child.
2. On the second or third day of school, when many young children begin to
miss being at home, ask them to bring in their favorite stuffed animal.
3. Plan a "Pet Parade" for that particular day. March to the beat of a tambourine
through the school, playground, and other classes (if possible). This way the
children familiarize themselves with the school surroundings and see other
children in different rooms playing and being busy.
4. When you return to your own room, give out blue ribbons for different
categories, such as largest, smallest, cutest, whitest, greenest, cuddliest,
biggest, tallest, and so on. Make sure that everyone receives a blue ribbon.
