Recite the following rhyme at transition times. It can also be sung to the tune
of "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star."
The listening position has five parts,
Bottoms on the floor is where it starts.
Crisscross legs, that's number two,
I can do it, so can you.
Opening ears and eyes is three, (point to ears and eyes)
Ready to listen and see.
Hands in your lap is number four.
Now there is just one more. (mime closing mouth)
When all five things have been done,
We're ready to listen and have fun.
