clear glass fish bowl large enough to fit over bowl

bowl or pie plate

water

Instructions

1. Fill the bowl or pie plate with water and place in sunny warm location.
2. Place a fish bowl upside down over the bowl or pie plate.
3. Encourage the children to observe water condensation on the bowl as
it warms.
4. Use simple words to explain evaporation. Tell that children that water
evaporates when it warms, then condenses in the air, gets heavy, and
falls as rain.
