spoons, blankets, pillows, books, cups, pitchers, plates, and stuffed bears
Instructions
1. Invite the children to sing the following song to the tune of "A-Hunting
We Will Go."
We're looking everywhere,
We're looking everywhere,
Hi-ho the derry-o,
We found a ______right there. (fill in the blank with the target item)
2. As the children sing the song, walk around the room with them, looking
for objects.
3. When you get to the last line of the song, stop and quickly point to a
desired object or have a child point to an object.
4. Complete the final line of the song with the name of the object (dog,
car, table, lamp, apple). Repeat the word. "Yes, that's an apple!"
5. Ask the children to repeat the word, filling in the blank in the song.
