Instructions

1. Make a board game using a piece of tagboard.

2. Draw double curved lines on the tagboard to create a curvy road.

3. Write "start" at the beginning of the road and "end" at the end of the road.

4. Mark off spaces.

5. Draw shapes (circles, squares, triangles, rectangles, and diamonds) in the spaces. Feel free to use shapes more than once.

6. The children can color in the spaces using crayons.

7. Using a smaller piece of tagboard, make a spinner. Draw a large circle on the board and then divide it into four sections.

8. Draw one of the shapes in each section.

9. Cut out a cardboard arrow and attach it with a brad to the center of the circle.

10. Give each child a game board marker. The children place their markers at the start of the road.

11. Have them take turns spinning and moving their markers as indicated on the spinner.

12. The children play until one of the players reaches the end.
