Instructions

1. Read the poem "The Jabberwocky" by Lewis Carroll to the children.
2. Discuss with the children what a Jabberwocky might be and what it might
look like.
3. Read the poem again to the children.
4. Encourage the children to use the various materials to create their own
Jabberwocky. Use Styrofoam balls to make heads and bodies and attach the
pieces together using Popsicle sticks and pipe cleaners. Decorate the creature
using foam shapes, paper pieces, feathers, and so on. Stick them directly into
the Styrofoam or use toothpicks to attach them.
