To prepare children for a quiet activity on a rainy day (or any day), try this deep
breathing technique with them. It not only gives them a break from sitting but
also is quite relaxing.
Pretend to be a tree.
Slowly raise your arms up to be the branches. (slowly take in a deep breath)
Hold it for a few seconds,
And relax. (blow air out completely and go limp)
