Instructions

* Mother's Day is celebrated on the second Sunday of May.
1. Make a copy of the following original poem for each child:
The Key to My Heart
You've loved me from the start,
I know you'll always care,
So here's the key to my heart
For the times I can't be there.
2. Have the children cut out the poem and glue on colorful paper.
3. Place each child's photo on a piece of colorful paper and laminate for a
key chain adornment.
4. Give each child pre-cut key shapes, a key ring,
and her laminated photo. Help the
children place the key shapes on
one end of the key chain and
the child's picture at the
other end.
5. Punch a hole in the
corner of the child's
poem and tie the
key chain to the
card with a
pretty ribbon.
6. Have the
children give
these key chains to their mothers for
Mother's Day.
