Instructions
1. Read The Elves and the Shoemaker to the children.
2. Invite the children to take turns acting out the different parts of the book as you read it.
3. Talk with the children about pairs of shoes, and doubling the number of shoes the elves can make.
4. Play matching games with the children's own shoes, and introduce the children to odd and even numbers using their shoes (one shoe is an odd number, two shoes are an even number).
