Instructions

1. During those inevitable times when waiting is necessary, play this simple
game.
2. Tell the children that you are thinking about one of them and want them to
guess who.
3. Give hints about the child you are thinking of. For instance, you can say, "I'm
thinking of a person who has brown hair" or "This person likes to play with
the trucks in the block area."
4. Give the children time to guess who you are thinking about. Congratulate
the children on their great deductive skills.
5. Continue until all children have had a turn or it's time to move on to your
next activity.
More to do For older children, make the game more difficult by giving more abstract hints
such as "This person's mother's name is ________."
Art and Language: Ask the children make a self-portrait and then ask them to
describe themselves. Print what they say on a separate paper and display with
the pictures.
