10 tagboard headbands with "cow ears" attached (optional)
Instructions
1. Sing the song (below) with the children.
2. Have the children join hands and form a circle, walking clockwise while singing the first verse.
3. At the end of the first verse, choose a child to go inside the circle. If using cow ear headbands, the child puts one on.
4. Continue as the group sings about cow number 9, number 8, and so on going into the "barn" (inside the circle).
5. As fewer children are left in the "dell" it becomes harder (and sillier) to circle the cows in the "barn."
