Old telephone or a plastic play phone
Instructions
1. Ask the children to sit in a small group. Give each child a frog to hold.
2. Take time to explore the frog and talk about its characteristics.
3. Ask each child to find something in the room that is bigger than the frog and
to bring it back to the group to check by comparing it to the frog.
5. Next, ask the children to find something smaller than the frog (or the same
size).
6. Provide rulers if the children have an interest in measuring.

Art: Precut paper in the same shape as the animal. Encourage the children to
paint them.
Sand and Water: Encourage the children to bring the animals to the water table
to play.
