Instructions

1. To foster good nutrition, give each child a "Tasting Booklet" at the beginning
of the year.
2. Fold construction paper in half to make the books.
3. Each time the children taste or eat a new nutritious food prepared by the
class, they add a stamp or sticker to their tasting book. Good ideas are
vegetables with dip, pumpkin muffins, and fruit salad.
4. Since many children are very particular about what they eat, make sure to
give them recognition even when they just taste a new food. The extra
recognition encourages reluctant children to try new foods as they learn
what is nutritious.
