Materials

Card stock cut into 4" x 5" (10 cm x 13 cm) pieces, one per child

Pencils

Craft or white glue

Glue brushes

Decorative materials such as aquarium gravel, coarse sand, sequins, confetti

Instructions

1. Help the children write their initials on their card. Encourage them to write in large letters.

2. Instruct the children to apply glue over the letters, then place decorative materials along thestrip of glue before it dries.More to doLanguage: Make an entire set of alphabet letters with the class and use the letters in a learningcenter. Brainstorm about opposites such as hard/soft and hot/cold.Math: Make a set of number cards for tactile learning.
