Instructions

1. This fingerplay is great to use any time you have a few extra minutes.
2. Write the fingerplay on file cards and on a poster for the children to see.
3. Teach the children the motions that go with the fingerplay. Teach them one
or two verses a day until they have learned them all.
One little beaver swam near his home.
He dove in the water and called his brother to come.
Two little beavers swam around and around.
They went inside their lodge and another was found.
Three little beavers swimming near the shore,
Another one came and that made four.
Four little beavers jumped in the water for a dive.
Another beaver joined them and that made five.
Five little beavers chewed on some tender sticks.
Another one was behind a tree and that made six.
Six little beavers went swimming once again.
One more was behind a rock and that made seven.
Seven little beavers were feeling just great.
Then another one joined them and that made eight.
Eight little beavers were swimming in a line.
A little baby beaver came and that made nine
Nine little beavers were chewing on a log, and then
Another one splashed the water and that made ten
Ten little beavers swimming and diving in the sun.
They all swam inside their home and that left none.
