Materials

Several metal canning lids, or any shiny, unbreakable object that a child can easily hold in hishand, such as a piece of cardboard covered with aluminum foil

Instructions

1. The teacher can show the children how sunlight reflects off of canning lids and how the reflected light can move across the ceiling and the wall.

2. Ask all the children to try to focus their reflected light on the same spot simultaneously.

3. Now, ask them to try to chase and "tag" the teacher's reflected light with their own.
