clean, empty, plastic peanut butter jars, one for each child

clay

Instructions

1. Write each child's name on a label and attach it to his peanut butter jar.
2. Place a chunk of clay into each child's jar and replace the lid.
3. Give each child a jar to keep in his cubby or desk.
4. Explain that whenever you feel they might need a little stress relief or escape
from routine, they can take out their "stress jars" and pound on their clay.
