Materials

Styrofoam cup

Play clay or plasticine

Variety of printing materials such as beads, corks, small tiles, buttons, or other small objects

Plaster of Paris mixed to a creamy consistency

Tempera paint

Paper towel in Styrofoam tray

Paintbrush or spoon for spreading paint

Paper

Instructions

What to do
1. Cut the cup in half. Use the bottom half of the cup.
2. Press some clay into the bottom of the cup.
3. Push various little items into the clay.
4. Adult pours plaster of Paris into the cup until it is about 1" (3 cm) deep.
5. When the plaster has hardened and dried, take it out of the cup. Also remove the clay.
6. The plaster section is the stamp.
7. Pour some paint on the paper towel in the Styrofoam tray.
8. Spread the paint with a brush or spoon.
9. Press the stamp into the paint and then press it on a piece of paper to make a self-created
stamp print.
