Instructions

1. Fill the sorting tray sections with collage materials.
2. Place the sorting tray on the lazy Susan and put it in the middle of the table.
3. Invite as many children as the table will hold to join in a rousing game of
Spin Art.
4. Give each child a piece of paper and a bottle of glue.
5. Explain the game to the children. One child will spin the sorting tray. The
children will all have one minute to place as many collage items as they want
on their paper. They must use the materials from the sorting tray
compartment nearest them. Then another child will spin the tray and the
game continues until all the collages are completed.
6. Ask the first child to spin the sorting tray, set the timer for one minute, and
cheer the children on as they spend one minute collecting collage items from
the compartment nearest them to add to their collages.
7. When the timer rings, have another child spin the sorting tray.
8. Continue play until each child has had a turn. From there the children can
decide if they want to keep working on the same collage for the second
round or if they want to start a new collage.
9. Continue play for at least two rounds or until interest wanes.
