Small, medium and large round items, such as apples, baseball, golf balls,ping pong balls, marbles

Instructions

1. Make three holes in the side of a box one small, one medium, one large. Or use a long box and make the three different size holes on the same side.

2. Put in the various-sized objects. Shake or slide the box around until the objects roll out of the hole that is closest to their size.

3. Sort the round objects into piles by size.More to doField trip: Visit an apple orchard, if possible. The children will be fascinated to see the machines used in orchards that work like the box in the activity above, sorting the apples by size.
