colorful socks

wool stuffing

string

glue

pipe cleaners

wiggle eyes

felt scraps

Instructions

1. Give each child a sock (or ask parents to send one in for their child).
2. Show them how to stuff one section of the sock at a time. Help the
children tie each section with string.
3. Have them continue stuffing and tying until the sock is almost filled.
4. Sew the end closed (adult only).
5. Encourage the children to add pipe cleaner antennae, wiggle eyes, and
felt scraps to make spots or stripes.
