12" x 18" white construction paper scissors markers 12" x 18" white paper hole punch and yarn, stapler, or binding machine
Instructions
1. Draw a snowman shape (about 12" x 16") on two pieces of white construction paper. Cut out the shapes. These will be the front and back cover of a class big book.
2. Decorate the snowman using markers.
3. Make pages for the book by cutting white paper in the same shape, slightly smaller than the cover.
4. Use the pages for a favorite snowman poem, or ask each child to dictate what his snowman would like to eat. Let the children illustrate the book.
5. Attach the pages together using a stapler, yarn and hole punch, or binding machine. Keep it in your reading area for all to enjoy.
