Instructions

1. As children transition from one area to another, use props as challenges
along the way.
2. In a hallway or between classrooms, put out a crawl tunnel so children have
to crawl through to the new area.
3. Place a balance beam along a travel path so children have to use it to get to
the next area. One day they might walk with their left foot on the beam and
their right foot on the floor. Another day the right foot can walk up high
while the left foot stays on the floor. Depending on the height of the beam,
the children can straddle the beam and walk with their feet on either side.
4. If you do not have a balance beam, you can substitute with a piece of wood,
or put a ribbon or piece of tape on the floor.
