Instructions

1. Place a carpet square in an out-of-the-way area of the classroom.
2. If a child is too active to sit still for an activity, invite him to go to the carpet
square to be as active as he needs.
3. The only condition is that he must remain quiet and stay on the carpet
square until he is ready to rejoin the class. The carpet square must stay where
you put it.
