Materials

Cardboard pieces

Pencils

Scissors

Inexpensive white socks, one pair for each child

Puffy paints (found in the craft section of any store)

Glue

Scrap materials, such as mini-pompoms

Instructions

1. Cut out three different sizes of balls for the snowman's body from the felt.
2. Cut out an assortment of pictures to add to the snowman: pipe, hat, gloves,
sticks (for arms), scarf, and so on.
3. Glue the pictures to tagboard using a glue stick. Cut them out.
4. Attach felt to the backs of the pictures using rubber cement.
5. Put out the snowmen items with the flannel board for the children to
manipulate during playtime. They can decorate him as desired.
